Private Residence Paros

When we were first asked to provide our marbles to this country house residence in Paros, we felt a unique challenge. Paros is famous for its local marbles.

How could we invest in a Parian residence intended for both professional use and tourist exploitation, with materials even from other countries so that it acquires a personality that will make it stand out from its competition without sacrificing points that could cost in the traditional color that it must have in order to remain desirable to its prospective visitors?

We chose a combination of utilitarian striking Sinai marble for the exteriors and brilliant white pearl marble for the interior.

In this way, the swimming pool, which is the obvious modern element of the house, acquired warm floor tones, creating a charming contrast with the traditional style found in the central masonry of the main building.

The white pearl, on the other hand, was placed in selected parts of the interior of the house with an emphasis on the public areas, the living room, the kitchen, and the bathrooms.

The summer light is enhanced, and the luster of the pearl gives just the necessary dose of luxury without becoming loud and noisy;  the space remains calm and cool, ready to fulfill ideally, the needs of an ambiance a visitor and user of a summer house expects to find in such a residence.

Two materials sharing one common base, marble, are met in an island house, with a mission to highlight the simplistic doric beauty of the Aegean architecture, while respecting the peaceful landscape of the Parian hinterland.

If you find yourself in Paros, it is worth seeing this house up close. The stone applications with which we contributed to the particular design and the final result, are two good reasons making us  feel proud.
